I did it!

Ok, so I’m so (sorta) proud of myself for getting this done. I mean its not HARD, as much as it is a freaking pain to do. But, I’ve added a lil comments feature to each of the comics. So now, you can go over to a comic you see, and leave a comment about it, saying anything you like, such as, “I don’t get it,” or maybe, “OMG I do that too!” Whatever.

Aside from that…I’ve been more productive as of late. I have to design a few websites for people, and other things here and there. Oh, and I have 2 more interviews for Ninjabi.

Summer schools a great idea and all, but I have too many distractions. At this point I’m just hoping to pass with a “D.” A “C” would be pushing it.

I hate the summer.

Comic 29 : First Born

Pretty self explanatory. After painting and being tortured with the song, I decided that I’d want his first born to pay for it. (Painting a ceiling while balancing on top of a tub is difficult!) I said this nonchalantly, and Diamond thought about it for a second, and responded with that. Since they’re a couple, it’d be her first born as well…

But I ain’t kidding woman, I WANT HIS FIRST BORN.

What happened to May flowers?

Has anyone else noticed that it now rains more in May than April? I thought April showers brings May flowers! If showers are now in May then we need to change some stuff around. These 2 months did a switcharoo. So spring is definitely in the air in any case and talk about POLLEN! If anyone is seeing as much pollen as I am in my area then the people who suffer from allergies have my DEEPEST SYMPATHY! There is tons and tons of pollen flying around so much it looks like snow. It’s so strange! Thankfully I don’t suffer from any type of allergies because if I do I might move to Antartica LOL. Summertime is coming! Is anyone making any getaway/vacation plans? I’d love to, but I don’t think I will be.

Comic 28 : Earworm

Ok, this comic is all sketch form, with pretty neat coloring. I really went a little wild with the details, altho I really want to keep the regular style of the comic minimalistic. I got a little carried away. This is the first comic done all on my new super hot computer. The really really pretty one. Oh yes, it purrs. And its sparkles sparkle so well…

Anyway, this comic is based on a weekend we spent painting. We also keep each other entertained (read : insane) by texting each other lyrics from this song, JUST so the other doesn’t forget it. Cuz we’re such great friends that way. Love you Diamond ;)!

p.s. Do you have a first aid kit…handy?

I’m not sure why, but I found myself watching these videos by these two desi guys. I mean they’re not bust a gut laughing, but they’re pretty funny. Maybe its just my east coast sense of humor, you know, like how British humor is dry?

Anyway, check out the videos if you have time : http://pariandharvin.com/

Meanwhile, what did everyone do for mother’s day?

I have a portfolio! Now, I just have to finish my resume, and I’m ALL set! Too bad that teaching position I wanted isn’t offered anymore. That was absolutely PERFECT.

Does Australia not have pizza? I’ll probably be going to Canada in the summer. For MuslimFest!

National Train Day/Mother’s Day

On May 10, 1869, in Promontory Summit, Utah, the “golden spike” was driven into the final tie that joined 1,776 miles of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railways, ceremonially creating the nation’s first transcontinental railroad. And America was transformed. Now 139 years later we are celebrating America’s 1st National Train Day this Saturday, May 10, 2008. Everyone who is a fan of trains (like my brother and nephew who are going lol) can go to their nearest largest Amtrak train station (i.e. Washington, DC’s Union Station, New York City’s Penn Station, Chicago’s Union Station and Los Angeles’ Union Station) or if you don’t live near one you can still participate in the fesitivities. Check out this link to see how – http://www.nationaltrainday.com/events-information
National Train Day is May 10

Also everyone, May 11, 2008 is Mother’s Day! Please don’t forget the woman who has brought you into this world and given you the best gift of all – life :). Show your appreciation, cook her dinner or take her out to a nice place, or simply don’t forget to remind her how much she means to you. For all the mothers reading this, have a very happy, safe, and blessed Mother’s Day!

Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs; since the payment is pure love.  ~Mildred B. Vermont

Happy Mother's Day!

You know you wanna try it.
I’ve got such a habit of typing things the way I want them to LOOK. Grammar? Psh, what’s that?
