ramadan is almost upon us

i am feeling like a half muslim if thats possible. too exhausted to get excited about ramadan, and so excited that i’m exhausted planning for ramadan. For moms, sometimes ramadan is tiring, with the daily preparation of iftars, keeping up with prayers, working, taraweeh and masjid functions. I love Ramadan! When I was little I knew of friends and family who observed and celebrated the fast, I wasn’t that lucky being raised in a non muslim home, but with a muslim father. I was always jealous at the excitement, strange, excitement from refraining what I loved most: food.

this ramadan consider helping out a mom, your mom, anyone’s mom, so that mom’s too can get the full benefits of ramadan and spend more time reflecting on this blessed month.

I myself have had my struggles this past month with my iman, but ramadan always brings new hope, comfort, and promise for more steadfastness, blessings and forgiveness.

May ramadan greet you all well and may you benefit from it,

ma salaama,

pakiRican.
